My name is Zach Lindsay, and I am the dad of a fourth grader at Cochise Elementary School. I have a bachelors in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance. I have been in the financial services industry for almost 19 years, having started my career at Citi, and eventually starting my own independent financial services practice. I moved to the valley in 2004, where I met my wife, Heidi, a short time later. We have one daughter, and bought a house in Scottsdale when our daughter was entering Kindergarten, solely because of the excellent schools SUSD offers. Since then, I have become very active advocating for our schools, students, teachers, and support staff. Along with many other caring parents, I fought for Kiva Elementary to be rebuilt. I've supported our teachers and students any way I could, and have met with district leadership to address various issues concerning our schools to create a better learning environment for our kids and staff.
I am running for the governing board to advocate for, and support, our students, teachers, and staff. I want to ensure teachers and staff have a voice, and help decide important decisions in our district. Especially when it comes to teaching our children. I want to listen and learn. I want to ensure the district has sound financial management, and is open and transparent with spending. I want to ensure EVERY child in our district is supported not only socially and emotionally, but that every child feels valued and has the specific tools they need to succeed. I want to do all I can to ensure our district is the very best it can be.
